Use and Care - Nicholas Mosse Pottery
The following is directly from the Use and Care / Information cards from Nicholas Mosse Pottery;
For tableware and gift pottery We are proud of the strength of our earthenware and hope it will last last you a lifetime. To keep it as beautiful as it is now, avoid rough handling and sudden changes in temperature. Some crazing may occur over time, but will no affect the life or usefulness of the pottery - it is a natural ageing process. To clean stubborn stains, use mild bleach solution. Nicholas Mosse Pottery is dishwasher safe, but must be stacked so that it does not rattle or touch other pieces in the dishwasher. The pottery can be used in the microwave: continual usage, however, may affect it's longevity. Also be sure to remove from the microwave with care. The ware should not used in an oven and should never be placed over a direct heat source, e.g., never place your teapot over the flame or a hob. For our ovenware This strong stoneware body is made to withstand normal oven temperatures and is ideal for use (baking or roasting). It must not be placed directly on a hob or open flame heat source. Also it must be allowed to defrost before using, if it has been taken from a freezer. To clean, soak in good detergent and avoid metal abrasives. |
